Winter Park gives first nod to Orange Avenue Overlay District plan
Winter Park is revamping part of its comprehensive plan and land-development code standards aiming to spur mixed-use development within 75 acres of property. Commissioners approved on a 3-2 vote the Orange Avenue Overlay District, which is meant to increase the density and walkability of the city’s prominent stretch of Orange Avenue, incentivize development within various zoning districts that range from industrial to residential and maximize open space.
